Thanksgiving Outreach
We will be doing a Thanksgiving meal outreach with our strategic partner, Somebody Cares in Lumberton, N.C. on November 17th-18th. CRI deployed to Lumberton after it was devastated during Hurricane Matthew last year and had even worse damage following Hurricane Florence. We are asking CRI Responders to deploy to Wilmington, N.C. on Tuesday, November 13th to assist with demobilization as well as preparation for this outreach. The deployment will end on Monday, November 19th.
CRI trained Responders, please sign up now to jump in on this deployment in CRI’s home-town. We need cooks, chaplains, and general laborers. CRI Responders will stay at the beach house in Wilmington.
Trained volunteers will aid in the following:
- Operate Mobile Kitchen Units
- Food Preparation & Distribution
- Crisis Ministry & Disaster Relief Chaplaincy
- Deployment Gear Maintenance
- Warehouse Work
Pricing Information:
The registration cost is $55.00 and will help cover your food, housing, admin, insurance and new Responder shirt. This helps CRI from using designated disaster relief donations for volunteer expenses. Thanks for understanding.
IF YOU PLAN ON FLYING - AFTER YOU ARE APPROVED, PLEASE EMAIL [email protected] WITH YOUR FLIGHT INFORMATION SO WE CAN ARRANGE YOUR PICK-UP. IF FLYING, FLY INTO WILMINGTON AIRPORT.
Once you complete the registration, you will be sent an email telling you your next step or location. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag, and air mattress.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR CRI BADGE, CRI HARD-HAT AND WEAR A CRI RESPONDER SHIRT EVERYDAY WHILE ON DEPLOYMENT. ONE NEW RESPONDER SHIRT WILL BE MADE FOR YOU WITH REGISTRATION.
