Thank you for choosing to apply as Event Staff for one of CRI's events!  

Please read through this entire page carefully as it contains important information.

The Training and Event Team will review applications upon receipt and connect with you shortly thereafter.  We will discuss your desire to serve and our areas of need to determine the best fit.

Staff roles needed:  Kitchen Crew, Administration, Logistics, Security, Base Camp Operations, Camp Nurse, Transportation, IT/AV/Sound, Unit Leaders, Sim Team, Worship Team members, etc. 

Applicant Requirements:  Applicants must have completed a LIVE training event (ATS, Basic Training, Rapid Training, etc.) in order to be considered for a staff position.  Some exceptions will be made to Responders that are known to the Training team.

Please note:  Previously trained responders who are approved by the Training Team (via email, text or phone) to volunteer as Event Staff are asked to arrive on the day prior to registration for each event (please indicate if you .   If you have questions, please email [email protected].

Training Team Leadership makes every effort to enable event staff to attend sessions/participate in activities, but due to the nature of many of the responsibilities inherent in various roles, this is not always possible.  

What to Expect

Event Staff will serve new CRI Trainees and the general public (during Intensive and Conference events) alongside CRI comrades in the beauty of CRI's Mission Base nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It's sure to be an unforgettable time together!

Upcoming Trainings/Events:

ATS: The Reaping:  Staff asked to arrive during the afternoon of 10/28.  Event staff needs to arrive camp on 10/27 and depart 11/1.  Indicate below if you cannot arrive on 10/27.

Upon Arrival - Dinner served:  5:30-6:30 PM (Monday's)  *** Wednesday for Reset Family Camp ***Tuesday for Cultivate Conference

Orientation and Corporate Prayer & Worship with Other Event Staff:  7:00-8:30 PM (Monday's)  *** Thursday for Reset Family Camp  ***Tuesday for Cultivate

Departure:  Light breakfast will be served on Saturday mornings. (Staff with early morning flights will have the liberty to depart early.)    *** Sunday for Reset Family Camp and Cultivate

We have a limited number of slots to fill for each specified role and need to screen applications according to the roles needed and the skills/experience of those who apply.  

Upon approval of your application, you will receive a registration link to the Event Staff Registration Page along with an additional link for airport transport if needed.

Additional Information

Lodging

The CRI Mission Base is a beautiful 84-acre property located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Lodging consists of dormitory-style cabins.  There are separate dorms for men and women and each dorm contains a bathroom with facilities.  Event Staff will be lodging with trainees as a general rule.  Bedding is not provided (bed size - twin). 

Meals

All meals are included in your registration costs.  Gluten-free, dairy-free options will be made available.  If you have other dietary needs and require your own food, you will be able to bring your own food and store items in a refrigerator.  

Youth & Children

Youth as young as 16 may be considered as Event Staff.  In the event a youth is approved, he/she must work alongside another approved adult during the course of the event.  Children do not qualify to assist with staffing.  

Background Checks

CRI routinely requests background checks (performed by a third party company) for new trainees and those responders who have not had a background check within one year of the event.  If you are approved to serve as staff, we will ask your permission to run the screen (if you have need of one) as part of your registration.
