Why get trained?
Are you tired of watching tragic events unfold and wish you knew what to do and how to help? Do you want to be part of the solution by using your life experience and God-given skills to help others when they need it most?
This event is designed to equip you to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people in crisis in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We have trained over 10,000 people just like you who are moved with compassion to bring relief and God’s love when crisis strikes. You do not want to miss this life-changing training opportunity.
What is Crisis Response like?
There is a place for everyone to serve in times of crisis and disaster. As a matter of fact, crisis is all around you right now. Whether it is a widowed neighbor, someone enduring chronic illness or a sudden natural disaster, God wants to use you to meet needs, bring compassion, care, and comfort.
This training will give you the unique ministry skills and confidence to help others in your community and abroad in times of crisis and disaster. This event will also certify you to become an official CRI volunteer, making you eligible for our deployments.
What to expect:
This interactive seminar includes one full day of instruction facilitated by Sean Malone, the founder of CRI. Training includes videos, hands-on exercises, role-playing, simulation, discussion, worship, and personal ministry times.
The event will begin promptly on Saturday at 9:00 am and end at 9:00 pm. Check-in begins at 8:30 am. Lunch and dinner will be served, with small breaks throughout the day.
It's CRI's heart to see the Body of Christ well-trained, equipped and prepared to mobilize by the power of the Holy Spirit in times of disaster and crisis. We are thrilled you have decided to take the first step in joining us on this exciting journey.
Get empowered and equipped to help others when they need it most! Come expecting a powerful training event and get ready to experience God in a new, life-changing way!
Lodging:
The CRI Mission Base is a beautiful 84-acre property located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lodging consists of climate-controlled dormitory-style cabins. There are separate dorms for men and women (limited options for couples based on availability) and each dorm contains a bathroom with showers. Bedding and linens are not provided. The bed size is a twin. See the registration options below for pricing information.
Background Checks
For the safety of all of our guests, we require a background check for all staying with us at the camp overnight. Please select the registration option below if you are staying on base the night before and/or the night after this course (NOT AS A MISSION ALLY). Watch your inbox for an email from the 3rd party screening company we use - Background Checks of America, requesting your approval and additional information. In order for us to receive your report prior to arrival at camp, you must respond to that email no later than Wednesday, March 11th. Please reply to the email immediately. If you have questions, please email Chanee Baker at [email protected]
Learn & Serve Option (Mission Allies Program)
If you would like to stay longer, why not serve as a Mission Ally before or after the event? You must still register for this 1-day Crisis Response training event through this page to take the training. Here is the link to our Mission Allies Program: https://criout.com/join-our-staff/mission-allies/
What's Next:
Upon completion of the Crisis Response Training, you will receive an email with your Certificate of Completion and information on how to deploy, take additional training and keep in touch.
In addition, the email will contain a link to the seminar (web version) - the same course you took in person - so that you may enjoy referring to it again at your leisure (as many times as you like).
Should you decide to deploy in the future, CRI will ask for your permission to do a mandatory background screen. We take the welfare of those we minister to and those we minister with very seriously.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
